How the Program Works

The Sphere of Trust Coaching is not a
“one size fits all” assessment tool.

You will gain nuanced understanding of your skills and areas to work on from people you trust and who see your leadership in action. Here’s how it works.

SOTC-Program

  1. You’ll select and invite people you trust to help you. You will then be at the center of a Sphere of Trust.
  2. You and everyone in your sphere will agree to these four guidelines:
    • Focus on continuous improvement
    • Be positive—look for solutions
    • Tell the hard truth when asked
    • Pick something to work on yourself
  3. Your coach will ask them about:
    • Good leadership skills you already have.
    • Skills that are important for you to develop.
  4. Together, you will pick the most important skill to improve first.
  5. You’ll then ask people in your sphere for practical tips on how to get better at that skill. Your coach will encourage all of you.
  6. Your coach will help you select the tips that build on the best of who you are, and that add the most value to your company.
  7. When your sphere agrees that you’ve nailed that skill, you’ll celebrate, and then move on to another leadership behavior.
